Byggfakta Group’s subsidiary NBS has signed an agreement to acquire the specification consultancy Schumann International. Schumann is a leading name in specification consultancy providing expertise to architects, design teams, real estate-developers and construction product manufacturers mainly in the UK for over 35 years.

The consultancy, to be known as NBS Schumann, will provide a complete specification consultancy service to NBS customers via the NBS platform.

The acquisition further supports NBS in its goal to be the leading specification platform for the global construction industry and adds further scale to the Byggfakta Group’s offering given the specification consulting business in Australia.

“Construction is becoming more global, technology is evolving, and new legislation is arriving. This complexity means that our customers increasingly require specialist expertise to support their specification process. We’ll be able to provide our customers with additional bandwidth and knowledge as and when they need it. As the Schumann International team has worked closely with NBS for many years, this was a natural development for our partnership and means we can bring immediate value to the specification market.” says Russell Haworth, CEO of NBS and Byggfakta Group UK.

Schumann International reported revenue of approximately GBP 0.6 million with good profitability in the financial year 2022.

Schumann International is expected to be consolidated to Byggfakta Group in January 2023. The acquisition is expected to have a marginal impact on Byggfakta Group's earnings per share in 2023.
